It is early spring.  The druids have announced that the last frost has now past, and farmers have begun the long hard task of planting their fields.  The day is cool, but sunny and enjoyable ...

That evening a guard comes and summons you.  Obviously you have been selected from the vast number of applicants for the job. The guard directs you into the Merchant Quarter.  Most of the shops are closing, and the taverns are just gearing up for their evening rush. Boys wearing city colors are lighting torches along the streets.Eventually he leads you to a small tavern, with rooms for rent upstairs. The sign reads KNIGHTS GLORY.  The whole place seems as if it was recently remodeled.  Everything inside seems pretty new.  The K on the sign is freshly painted.

Inside, you head to the rear of the tavern, where there is a large private meeting room.  Inside you see a number of others, however your eyes immediately catch sight of Captain Yvon.  He waves you to sit. Over the next few minutes, others enter.  You look around and at each of the people in turn. Eventually, with eight other people in the room, he begins.

He looks over each of you to make sure you understand. He takes out a small sketch of the surrounding areas.  It is not very detailed, and you can see the city, the three roads leading from it.  One road travels east, past a dotted line marking a border and off the map.  A freshly circled mark near the edge of the paper marks where the bandits are believed to be.  It appears to be about 10 or so miles north of the eastern road.  Only a few landmarks are mentioned, so you can tell you will still have a lot of ground to cover to find the bandits.
