This area of rock is basically baren, except for some large cracks
zigzagging this way and that.  You get the impression that this
was once a really large rock that has simply split into a number
of pieces over time.  A few tree's dot the rocky surface, holding
onto what little soil they can manage.  In general the rock is 
a large rounded surface, sloping upward toward the center from all
sides.

The crevases that jut across the rocky surface are usually about 10
to 30 feet across, and their depth varies.

This map is about 1.5 miles square.
